Hybrids
My friends Kyle and Kristin were pondering their future married names. She will be Kristin Jean Halloran Kessler, or something like that. This brings to mind other ways of combining nomenclature.
Hybirds. This is the age of hybrids. Genetic engineers recently made fluorescent green pigs by combining jellyfish and swine. A labrador and a poodle birth labradoodles. Why can’t her name be Kristin Jean Hallossler, or Kristin Jean Kessloran? I don’t know, it sounds fine to me.
Acronyms. Between growing up in the military and working as an architect I’ve grown quite a fondness of acronyms. TDY, AIA, BOCA, MRE, C&GSC, LEED, NCARB, you get the idea. KJHK. It even looks good in print.
Symbols. The Artist Currently Known as Prince did it.
Why can’t anyone? Here are some suggestions:

I’ll just become the radioactive symbol! KJHK does look good; so does KJKH. I have 8 1/2 months to decide if I’m even going to do anything to my name, or if it will just stay KJH.
